Concern Overloaded !!

Do’s and Don’ts in 'Clothes' because we are living in a democratic country. 

Although today, nobody gives a damn about what others are saying. This is absolutely correct. Girls are doing fine by not listening to all those who exist only to make someone down according to me. But there are certain things even a girl knows inside her. She break all stupid and baseless restrictions but she is aware of her instincts that says NO to certain things.

Following are some points which shows stereotypical rules only for girls.

• You can wear skirts. Clapping !! Wait, only ankle lengths. Hahhh !!
• Do not wear Yoga pants or skinny pants. If you want to wear that, wear a long top to cover your bum.
• Do not wear crop tops as it is a way of skin show. Seriously !!
• Wear saris because they are purely traditional and cultured. ( In spite the fact that it is revealing more skin than crop tops).
• You can wear broad necks almost revealing everything in blouses but it is big NO for backless tops.
• Ladies out there walk taking the plates (palla) of their sari in their hands but YOU cannot wear tops of your size. They call it skinny.
• Men roam around in a jersey or simply their inner wear but it will be a disaster if you are flaunting your inner wear Strap !! You can’t. They call it careless and clumsy dressing.
• Wear a scarf or a stole every time, even in the night, in kitchen, in doing household work… if you are MARRIED. Why ? We call our father in law – papa, brother in law – bhaiya, so and so.. then why so many restrictions after marriage. We are told to treat them in the same manner we treat our biological relations. Then why insecurity ? Why shame ? Why don’t they understand now we even have our bodyguard. Laugh.

They suggest don’t wear clothes which reveal so much or which are skinny because these types of clothes attract rapists or eve teasers. I would like to question, girls who live in backward areas are the most up rape victims. They wear suits and anarkalis. Then why they being raped ?

The answer is, the cause is not the type of clothes we wear, it’s the mentality of the one watching us. If a man who is potential of doing a crime, he will not see that the girl is wearing a suit or a skirt. He will fill up his urge.

According to me, comfort and simplicity takes the role play. Wear what suits you best with all the comfort you need to build up your confidence. The outfit does not depicts your background and culture rather your confidence and the level of carrying your clothes with attitude and comfort.

Mothers play an important role in a girl’s life when it comes to clothing. They are protective towards us like no one else can. In the end of my rebel against biasness, I would say, mothers are angels on earth, they will do anything to protect you. If a situation require war between mother and daughter in the process of protection, she will do even that. All those mothers including mine are requested to trust in destiny. What is meant to happen will happen.

You are not wrong mom, it’s just you need to let wrong people come forward. I Respect You for your trust and love in me. Thank You.
